Person Centred Approach

With the Person-Centred Approach, the focus is placed on the individual going through therapy: You. It embraces the uniqueness of each person, and the direction of the therapy is controlled by you.

Through talking and reflective listening on my side, the therapy is tailored to you and your needs. It takes into account all the specificities that make you “You” like your age, your gender, your culture, your heritage, your language, your beliefs and so on.

Person-centred therapy focuses on recognising the gifts and skills that you have inside you and helps you find your own unique way of solving issues and reaching happiness. This approach aims at finding what your specific strengths are and helping you gain back control on the aspects of your life that you wish to change.

As this type of approach is more tailored to each person’s needs, it is difficult to predict how long it could last. However, I will check with you on a regular basis on how you feel about our sessions and your progress.

Just like CBT, the person-centred approach helps with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, childhood abuse and/or neglect, OCD, insecurities, guilt, shame and a lot more. Do not hesitate to contact me to discuss if this kind of therapy is right for you.
