CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a psycho-dynamic approach aimed at helping people solve specific issues. It works around three key elements of our psyche: Thoughts, Feelings and Behavior. This type of therapy highlights the subconscious relationship between all three elements and how understanding them help us redesign these interactions.

Alongside talking, we will work on learning various techniques to help you understand yourself and cope with any issue that you want to deal with.

Despite using set techniques, therapy will advance at your pace with no pressure. It matters to me that you feel safe and comfortable.

It is considered a short-term treatment as an average of eight to twelve sessions are recommended for a majority of people. However, I am dedicated to providing individualised counselling and will check up with you on a regular basis on how you feel about our sessions and the progress we are making.

CBT is recognised to help with different mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, guilt, shame, OCD, phobias, relationship issues, drug and substance abuse, stress, trauma, childhood abuse and/or neglect. The list is long, please do not hesitate to contact me and ask any questions to see if this type of therapy is right for you.
